STORY

The Amigo was a compact, open-topped two-door SUV built on Isuzu's rugged pickup platform, sharing much of its mechanicals with the Rodeo. Launched in 1989 with a removable soft top over the rear, it targeted younger, recreation-minded buyers in North America. After a mid-1990s hiatus it returned as a second generation, later renamed the Rodeo Sport before Isuzu withdrew from passenger vehicles.
