STORY

The Mark 2 of 1959 refined the compact saloon with a lighter, brighter cabin, wider rear track and larger glass area. Available with 2.4, 3.4 and the potent 3.8-litre XK engine, it became a definitive sports saloon and a favourite of both police and getaway drivers. It remained in production until 1967.
