STORY

The XJ8 was the V8-powered flagship XJ saloon built on the X308 platform from 1997. It was the first XJ to use Jaguar's new AJ-V8 engine, replacing the long-serving straight-six and V12 units. It combined traditional styling with modern powertrains until replaced by the aluminium X350 in 2003.
