STORY

The Grand Wagoneer name first crowned the top of the SJ Wagoneer line, becoming from 1984 a lavishly trimmed, faux-woodgrain flagship that pioneered the luxury full-size SUV before bowing out in 1991. Jeep revived the nameplate in 2021 for the 2022 model year atop the reborn Wagoneer, this time as a stand-alone premium brand offering with a Stellantis body-on-frame platform. Modern Grand Wagoneers pair a twin-turbo Hurricane inline-six with three-row seating and up-market interiors aimed squarely at the Escalade and Navigator.
