Wrangler Rubicon 392

JL (2018-) · 2021–present4WDSUV

The Wrangler Rubicon 392 is a four-door, four-wheel-drive SUV sold from 2021, with a 6.4-litre 392 HEMI V8 making 470 PS and 637 Nm through an 8-speed automatic. It was the first Wrangler with paddle shifters. A tri-level Hydro-Guide air intake keeps water away from the engine, so the V8 can wade through 32.5 inches of water even with a big scoop on the hood.

STORY

The Wrangler debuted in 1986 (YJ) as the successor to the CJ series. It kept the classic body-on-frame, solid-axle, removable-top formula that defines Jeep's off-road identity. The TJ returned to round headlights and coil suspension, the JK introduced a four-door model, and the current JL uses a lot of aluminum and offers 4xe plug-in hybrid power. Through all of them the Wrangler has stayed the brand's best-known trail vehicle. It is one of the most capable and recognizable production off-roaders in the world.
