STORY

The X70 was the model that launched Jetour in 2018 and made it Chery's travel- and family-focused SUV brand. It came with five or seven seats and 1.5- and 1.6-litre turbo petrol engines. It was cheaper than established rivals and had unusually generous space. Strong sales at home made it Jetour's volume backbone and the basis for the X70S, X70 Plus and later versions, and it became a mainstay of the brand's exports.
