K5 1.6 T-GDI (DL3)

STORY

K5 is the name Kia has used in South Korea for its midsize sedan since the third generation of 2010, while most other markets sold the same car as the Optima and the 2005 generation as the Magentis. The DL3 generation went on sale in Korea on 12 December 2019, after pre-orders opened on 21 November. In May 2020 the 2021 model appeared in the US EPA database under the K5 name, replacing Optima there, so the sedan now carries one name in the US and Korea. A 1.6-litre turbo with all-wheel drive was listed in that EPA entry.
