STORY
The Kia KX3 is a subcompact crossover built only for China by the Dongfeng Yueda Kia joint venture in Yancheng, Jiangsu. Kia showed the KX3 concept at the Guangzhou Auto Show in November 2014, and the production car was due to launch in March 2015 on the platform of the China-only Hyundai ix25. Its entry engine was a 1.6-litre four-cylinder rated at 123 hp and 151 Nm. In 2019 the name passed to a second KX3 that is the Chinese-market version of the Kia Seltos, sold there with the extra name Aopao, so the two Chinese KX3 generations are different cars.
