STORY

The Picanto is Kia's city car, sold in South Korea as the Morning. The first generation appeared as the Morning in South Korea in 2003 and reached Europe in 2004 under the Picanto name. The second generation, designed at Kia's European studio in Frankfurt, debuted at the Geneva show in March 2011 and received an update in 2015. Kia revealed the third generation to European media on 15 February 2017 and showed it at Geneva in March 2017. Its 1.0 and 1.25-litre naturally aspirated engines carried over from the old car, and a 1.0-litre turbo joined the range in the fourth quarter of 2017.
