STORY

Kia showed the Sonet as a concept at Auto Expo in February 2020 and unveiled the production car on 7 August 2020. Production began at Anantapur in India on 4 September, and sales there started on 18 September 2020 with a 1.2-litre petrol, a 1.0-litre turbo petrol and a 1.5-litre diesel on offer. The facelift was revealed in India in December 2023, with bookings from 20 December, and reached showrooms in January 2024.
