STORY

Kia first showed the Soul as a concept at the Detroit show in 2006. The production car began in 2008, and the 2009 US campaign by David&Goliath, titled A New Way to Roll, made animated hamsters its face; Nielsen named it automotive ad of the year. The second generation broke cover at the New York show in March 2013 and was shown in Europe at Frankfurt that September. On 6 October 2025 Kia announced that the Soul was ending, and Korean production stopped that same month, after three generations.
