STORY

The Islero was Lamborghini's front-engined 2+2 grand tourer, built from 1968 to replace the 400 GT and using the 4.0-litre V12. It was named after the Miura bull that killed matador Manolete in 1947. It was reportedly Ferruccio Lamborghini's own favourite, for its understated styling by Carrozzeria Marazzi. Only around 225 examples were built across the Islero and the updated Islero S before it gave way to the Jarama in 1970.
