STORY

The Discovery Sport arrived in 2014 as the successor to the Freelander 2, becoming a compact premium SUV with available 5+2 seating. Built on Land Rover's platform shared with the Evoque, it combined family practicality with the brand's off-road credentials. A 2019 update (2020 model year) brought a revised platform with mild-hybrid and plug-in hybrid options.
