The GX is Lexus's body-on-frame mid-size luxury SUV, engineered for off-road ability on the Toyota Land Cruiser Prado platform. It prioritises towing, trail capability and long-term reliability over on-road sharpness, and has a loyal following particularly in North America and the Middle East. The second generation modernised the formula with a turbocharged powertrain and a more angular design.
