STORY
The IS is Lexus's compact rear-wheel-drive sports saloon, launched to take on the BMW 3 Series with a sharper, more driver-focused character than earlier Lexus models. Across its generations it has offered agile handling, expressive styling and, in the IS F, a genuine high-performance V8 variant. It remains one of the brand's most enthusiast-oriented cars, still sold with V6 power well after rivals downsized.
