STORY

The Capri was a Lincoln series built from 1952 to 1959. In 1952-1955 it was Lincoln's top series, above the Cosmopolitan, and from 1956 it sat below the new Premiere. It was powered by Lincoln's overhead-valve Y-block V8. Lincolns finished at the top of their class in the Carrera Panamericana road races in Mexico, with Capris taking first and second place in 1954. The Capri name was retired after 1959.
