STORY

The MKZ was Lincoln's mid-size luxury sedan, launched for 2007 as a rebadged, more upscale sibling of the Ford Fusion after briefly wearing the Zephyr name. The second generation arrived for 2013 on Ford's CD4 platform with a split-wing grille, a full-length retractable panoramic roof and push-button gear selection. A gasoline-electric hybrid cost no more than the four-cylinder, which was unusual in the industry. Production ended in 2020 as Lincoln moved away from sedans toward an all-SUV lineup.
