Biturbo 420 · 1987–1988

The 420 Si combined the sport specification with fuel injection, pairing the tuned chassis of the 420 S with Weber-Marelli injection on the two-litre twin-turbo V6. It formed the top of the four-door Biturbo saloon range in 1987 and 1988. The setup gave better driveability than the carburettor cars while keeping the higher state of tune.

STORY

The Maserati 420 was a compact four-door saloon built in the mid-1980s as part of the Biturbo-derived family. It carried twin-turbocharged V6 power and was aimed at the executive sedan market. The line evolved into later 4-series and Quattroporte-adjacent saloons of the era.
