STORY
The G10 was Maxus's first passenger MPV, launched in 2014 as a move beyond the commercial vans SAIC inherited from Britain's LDV. It used a front-engine rear-drive monocoque with sliding rear doors and seven- or eight-seat layouts, powered by SAIC's 2.0-litre turbo petrol or a 1.9-litre diesel. Positioned against the Buick GL8 in China, it was widely used as a business shuttle and was exported to Australia and several Asian markets under the LDV G10 name.
