The T60 debuted in 2016 as Maxus's first pickup and the model that made the brand well known in Australia and New Zealand, where it is sold as the LDV T60. It has a ladder-frame chassis with a leaf-sprung live rear axle and part-time four-wheel drive, at first with a 2.8-litre VM Motori diesel and later with SAIC's own 2.0-litre turbo diesel. Its chassis also underpins the D90 SUV. In export markets the T60 was priced low against the Toyota Hilux and Ford Ranger.
The Maxus T60 is a mid-size body-on-frame pickup truck and Maxus's first pickup, first shown in 2016. It is powered mainly by turbo-diesel four-cylinder engines with rear- or selectable four-wheel drive, and a later electric eT60 variant added a battery-powered option. Sold as the LDV T60 in Australia and New Zealand, it competes on value against established mid-size pickups. It became a cornerstone of Maxus's international lineup, sharing its platform with the D90 SUV.
