STORY

The Mazda 121 was a subcompact sold mainly in Europe and other export markets across three unrelated generations. The first was a boxy Japanese-designed supermini shared with the Ford Festiva and Kia Pride, while the second became famous for its rounded 'bubble' styling and available full-length canvas roof. The final generation abandoned Mazda's own design entirely, being a rebadged Ford Fiesta built under the Ford-Mazda alliance.
