Mazda announced the Flair Crossover on 26 December 2013 and began sales on 31 January 2014, three weeks after Suzuki put the Hustler on sale on 8 January 2014. The Flair Crossover is that Hustler under Mazda's badge, a kei car that blends tall-wagon space with SUV styling. The launch grades XG, XS and XT used a 660 cc DOHC VVT engine, turbocharged in the XT. Mazda's JC08 ratings match Suzuki's for the same drivetrains: 29.2 km/L for 2WD and 28.0 km/L for 4WD in the naturally aspirated CVT cars, and 26.8 km/L for the 2WD turbo. A second generation was announced on 29 January 2020 and went on sale on 27 February 2020.
Suzuki Hustler rebadge since 2014, a kei crossover hatch with SUV styling.
