STORY
The McLaren 788HS, unveiled at the 2026 Goodwood Festival of Speed, is the final and most extreme evolution of McLaren's second-generation Super Series. That bloodline began with the 720S in 2017, sharpened into the track-focused 765LT, and matured into the 750S. Built by McLaren Special Operations (MSO), the 788HS sends the 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 to 788 PS (777 hp) and pairs it with aggressive aero crowned by a huge fixed rear wing, cutting dry weight to 1,265 kg.
Performance is savage: 0-60 mph in 2.8 seconds and 205 mph (330 km/h). Production is capped at just 200 cars, 100 coupes and 100 Spiders, each fully bespoke through MSO. That makes the 788HS a fitting, collectible send-off for the M840T-engined Super Series before McLaren's next chapter.
