STORY
The EQE SUV is Mercedes-Benz's mid-size all-electric luxury SUV, introduced for 2023 as the high-riding sibling to the EQE sedan and a smaller counterpart to the EQS SUV. It rides on the dedicated EVA2 electric architecture and is built at the Tuscaloosa, Alabama plant alongside Mercedes' other US-made EVs, positioning it against rivals such as the BMW iX and Audi Q8 e-tron. The range spans the rear-drive EQE 350+, the dual-motor EQE 350 4MATIC and EQE 500 4MATIC, and the performance flagship Mercedes-AMG EQE 53 4MATIC+, all drawing from a roughly 90 kWh battery and offering features like rear-axle steering and the optional Hyperscreen. As part of Mercedes' EQ electric sub-brand, it represents the company's push into premium electric SUVs during the mid-2020s transition, and it remains in production as a current model.
