STORY

The EQE is Mercedes-Benz's electric executive sedan, introduced in 2022 as the business-class counterpart to the flagship EQS. It rides on the dedicated EVA2 skateboard architecture shared with the EQS, wrapping the battery in a slippery one-box 'cab-forward' silhouette that prioritises aerodynamic efficiency over conventional three-box proportions. The range spans the rear-drive EQE 300 and long-range 350+, dual-motor 350 and 500 4MATIC models, and Affalterbach's high-performance AMG EQE 43 and 53 4MATIC+ variants, with options such as the panoramic MBUX Hyperscreen. A companion EQE SUV followed to broaden the line. Positioned as the electric E-Class for its era, the V295 EQE is a current model, though Mercedes has signalled a strategic recalibration of its EQ naming and a renewed emphasis on parallel combustion offerings in the executive segment.
