STORY

The EQT is Mercedes-Benz's compact all-electric passenger van, introduced in 2022 as the battery-electric member of the small T-Class MPV family. Developed within the Mercedes-Renault-Nissan alliance on the W420 platform, it shares its underpinnings with the Renault Kangoo E-Tech and Nissan Townstar and is offered as the front-drive EQT 200. Aimed at families and small businesses wanting an affordable, practical electric people-mover with sliding doors and up to five seats, it sits a class below the larger EQV. It brought the three-pointed star into the compact electric-van segment, sharing showrooms with its combustion T-Class sibling, and stands as Mercedes' most accessible electric van.
