STORY
The first AMG C-Class was the C 36 AMG of September 1993, a 3,606 cc six of 206 kW built to June 1997 in 5,221 cars. The C 43 AMG that replaced it in 1997 brought the first V8 to the series at 306 PS, and a C 55 AMG conversion on the same body followed in 1998. The supercharged C 32 AMG took over in 2001 at 354 PS, and from May 2004 the naturally aspirated 5.4-litre C 55 AMG ran at 270 kW to 2007, 4,616 cars between saloon and estate. The C 63 AMG built from January 2008 used AMG's own 6.2-litre M156 at 457 PS, or 487 PS with the Performance Package Plus from October 2009, and closed with the Edition 507. On 21 September 2022 the line moved to the C 63 S E PERFORMANCE: a 476 PS four-cylinder and a 204 PS electric motor for 680 PS and 1,020 Nm.
