GLC 63 AMG 4MATIC+

STORY

AMG reached the GLC with the GLC 43 of 2016, a 3.0-litre biturbo V6 at 367 PS, raised to 287 kW with the 2019 facelift. A V8 followed in a release of 5 April 2017 and on the stand at the New York show that month: the GLC 63 and GLC 63 S, 4.0-litre biturbo at 476 and 510 PS, with 4MATIC+ and the nine-speed MCT gearbox taken from the E 63. With the second body the 43 moved to a 2.0-litre four at 310 kW and 500 Nm, helped by a 48-volt starter-generator contributing 10 kW. Both AMG versions of that body were shown in July 2023, the GLC 63 S E PERFORMANCE among them, pairing that four-cylinder with an electric motor for 680 PS and 1,020 Nm, the first SUV to use AMG's E PERFORMANCE hybrid system.
