STORY
The Comet was sold by Lincoln-Mercury from 1960 to 1977, with a gap in 1970. It started as a compact based on the Ford Falcon. In 1966 and 1967 the Cyclone GT version offered a 6.4-litre 390 V8. From 1971 to 1977 the Comet was a twin of the Ford Maverick.
