STORY

The Grand Marquis is a full-size, rear-wheel-drive sedan built on Ford's Panther platform, closely related to the Ford Crown Victoria. The 1983 to 1991 cars had a 5.0-litre V8, and the 4.6-litre V8 arrived with the redesign of 1992, which ran to 1997. The 1998 to 2011 cars came in GS and LS trims, with an LSE package. It stayed in production until Mercury was shut down.
