STORY

The XR4Ti was the first car Lincoln-Mercury sold under the Merkur name, which is German for Mercury. It was the Ford Sierra XR4i adapted for North America. The European car used a V6, but the American version used the 2.3-litre Lima four-cylinder engine with a turbocharger. It was offered with an automatic gearbox or a five-speed manual, and it was built from 1985 to 1989.
