STORY
The MGB, launched in 1962, became one of the world's most popular sports cars, with more than half a million built over 18 years. Its monocoque construction, comfortable cabin and sturdy mechanics made it accessible and durable, and the GT added a practical fixed-roof body. Rubber-bumper cars for the US market from 1974 kept it selling until production ended in 1980.
