STORY

The MG TF, launched in 2002, was a comprehensive reworking of the mid-engined MGF, swapping the Hydragas system for conventional coil-spring suspension. It gained sharper styling, a stiffer body and more power, becoming Britain's best-selling roadster in its early years. Production continued at Longbridge and briefly resumed under Nanjing/SAIC ownership after 2007.
