STORY
The Clubman name dates to 1969, when British Leyland's Roy Haynes restyled the classic Mini with a squared-off nose; the accompanying Clubman Estate, with its long roof, ran until 1982. BMW revived the name in 2007 as the third variant of the modern Mini (R55), an extended hatch instantly recognisable for its split 'barn door' rear and, initially, an extra rear-hinged 'Clubdoor' on one side.
The second-generation Clubman (F54), launched in 2015, grew into a genuine six-door estate with four conventional passenger doors while keeping the signature split rear doors. Production ended in February 2024 after a Final Edition limited to 1,969 cars in a nod to the 1969 original, as Mini shifted focus to its new, increasingly electric family.
