STORY

The Lancer Celeste was a rear-drive three-door hatchback coupe built on Lancer underpinnings and introduced in February 1975. Mitsubishi sold it as the Celeste, Britain saw it as the Colt Celeste, Australia as the Chrysler Lancer Hatchback, the United States as the Plymouth Arrow and Canada as the Dodge Arrow. The first cars had 1.4 and 1.6-litre fours, a 2.0 followed, and in 1979 and 1980 the US Fire Arrow carried a 2.6-litre four rated at 105 hp. Production ended in 1981, and the front-drive Cordia took over its place in early 1982.
