Delica D:3

2011 – 2019

A compact van sold through Mitsubishi dealers in Japan from 2011 to 2019. It was the Nissan NV200 Vanette rebadged as a Delica and supplied by Nissan, so it is a twin of that Nissan, not a Mitsubishi design.

The Story

Why the Delica D:3 matters

The Delica D:3 was a compact minivan that Mitsubishi sold in Japan as a rebadged Nissan NV200 Vanette, supplied by Nissan on an OEM basis. Mitsubishi announced it on 6 October 2011 together with the Delica Van and put both on sale on 27 October 2011. The D:3 came as a seven-seat G and a five-seat M, priced from 1,879,000 to 1,974,000 yen, with a 1.6-litre four-cylinder rated at 109 PS (80 kW) and a four-speed automatic. A revision followed in January 2016. Catalogue listings give September 2019 as the end of production, so the car stayed on sale for about eight years.
