STORY

The Eclipse Cross is a coupe-styled compact SUV that Mitsubishi premiered at the Geneva show in March 2017. Japanese sales began in March 2018 with a 1.5-litre direct-injection turbo petrol engine. A 2.2-litre diesel was added in June 2019. The December 2020 update brought a plug-in hybrid with a 2.4-litre MIVEC engine, front and rear motors and an EV range of 57.3 km on the WLTC cycle, priced at 3,848,900 to 4,477,000 yen. In September 2025 Mitsubishi unveiled an all-electric Eclipse Cross for Europe, built by Renault at Douai on the CMF-EV platform with an 87 kWh battery.
