The late second-generation Eclipse GS-T Turbo (D32A), sold 1997-1999 after the 1997 refresh, is the front-drive turbo coupe. Its 2.0-litre 4G63T four-cylinder is rated at 210 hp, and unlike the GSX it sends power only to the front wheels, with a 5-speed manual or 4-speed automatic.

STORY

The Mitsubishi Eclipse was a sport compact coupe built from 1989 to 2012 over four generations, developed under the Diamond-Star Motors joint venture with Chrysler. Early turbocharged AWD GSX versions became popular with tuners, while later generations shifted toward larger front-drive V6 grand-touring coupes and convertible Spyders. Production ended in 2012, though the name later returned on the unrelated Eclipse Cross crossover.
