The 2003-2005 third-generation Eclipse Spyder GTS (D53A) is the facelifted V6 convertible. Its 3.0-litre 6G72 V6 is rated at 210 hp and drives the front wheels, up from about 200 hp in the earlier Spyder, and it shares the restyled bumpers and lights of the GT coupe.

STORY

The Mitsubishi Eclipse was a sport compact coupe built from 1989 to 2012 over four generations, developed under the Diamond-Star Motors joint venture with Chrysler. Early turbocharged AWD GSX versions became popular with tuners, while later generations shifted toward larger front-drive V6 grand-touring coupes and convertible Spyders. Production ended in 2012, though the name later returned on the unrelated Eclipse Cross crossover.
