STORY

The Endeavor was the mid-size crossover Mitsubishi built for the US market at its Normal, Illinois plant. The 2004 model year offered LS, XLS and Limited trims, each with front or all-wheel drive, and a 3.8-litre SOHC V6 that Mitsubishi Motors North America rated at 215 horsepower. Reviewers described it as Galant-based. Consumer Guide dates a rise to 225 horsepower to the middle of the 2004 model year. For 2006 the front end was restyled with a new chrome grille and a revised bumper and chin spoiler. Reports in April and August 2011 put the end of Endeavor production at the end of August 2011, with the Normal plant to be retooled for the Outlander Sport.
