The Evolution X GSR (CZ4A) was the tenth and final generation, sold from 2007 to 2016 on the Lancer sedan. The all-aluminum 2.0-liter 4B11T replaced the 4G63, making 300 PS, with a 5-speed manual or the TC-SST dual-clutch gearbox and the S-AWC all-wheel-control system.

STORY

Mitsubishi put the Lancer Evolution on sale in Japan in 1992 so the car could be homologated for the World Rally Championship. It carried the 2.0-litre turbo 4G63 from the Galant VR-4 and made 250 PS and 31.5 kgm, and the first batch of 2,500 sold out in about three days. The tenth generation arrived in 2007 with a new 4B11 2.0-litre turbo rated at 280 PS and 43.0 kgm in Japan. In April 2015 Mitsubishi announced the Final Edition, limited to 1,000 cars for Japan only.
