DS17V 660 Van (Every OEM)

DS17 · 2014–presentRWDMinivan

The DS17V 660 Van is the Minicab Van sold since 2014, when Mitsubishi began rebadging the Suzuki Every. It uses Suzuki's R06A 658 cc three-cylinder instead of the earlier Mitsubishi 3G83, so unlike the U61V it replaced, it is an OEM supply vehicle from Suzuki rather than a Mitsubishi design.

STORY

Mitsubishi introduced the Minicab in 1966 as a kei truck and later van, giving Japanese small businesses a low-cost, compact load carrier. Through successive generations it moved from 360 cc engines to 660 cc under kei rules, with the U61/U62 series running 1999-2014 on the 3G83 three-cylinder. In 2011 it gained the Minicab MiEV, an early electric commercial vehicle, and since 2014 the petrol versions have been rebadged Suzuki Every and Carry models.
