The CY 1.5 ES (CY1A) of 2011-2015 is the mid-phase 1.5-litre entry sedan, built after the 2011 facelift that brought the Evolution-style grille. It keeps the 4A91 four-cylinder of the 2007-2011 car, and differs from it through the restyled front end and revised equipment.

STORY

The Lancer began in 1973 as a small Mitsubishi sedan and ran through many generations. Its sporting version, the 1600 GSR with a twin-carburettor 1.6-litre engine, won the Southern Cross Rally in 1973 and the Safari Rally in 1974, and the name later carried the Lancer Evolution. In early 2017 Mitsubishi North America said 2017 would be the last model year for the Lancer sedan and that production would end in August 2017, because there was less demand for sedans and the company wanted to concentrate on crossovers.
