The Lancer SE AWC is the all-wheel-drive Lancer of the United States range, added for the 2012 model year as an affordable model with Mitsubishi's All-Wheel Control system. It uses the 2.4-litre 4B12 four-cylinder rated 168 hp, which is 170 PS, and 167 lb-ft, which is 226 Nm, and comes only with a CVT. Heated front seats and mirrors are standard.

STORY

The Lancer began in 1973 as a small Mitsubishi sedan and ran through many generations. Its sporting version, the 1600 GSR with a twin-carburettor 1.6-litre engine, won the Southern Cross Rally in 1973 and the Safari Rally in 1974, and the name later carried the Lancer Evolution. In early 2017 Mitsubishi North America said 2017 would be the last model year for the Lancer sedan and that production would end in August 2017, because there was less demand for sedans and the company wanted to concentrate on crossovers.
