Outlander 2.2 DI-D 6MT

The Outlander 2.2 DI-D 6MT is the European diesel of the third-generation Outlander. Its 2.2-litre turbodiesel four-cylinder (4N14) makes 150 PS and drives all four wheels through a six-speed manual gearbox. Mitsubishi dropped the diesel when it updated the range in 2018.

STORY

The Outlander PHEV went on sale in Japan on 24 January 2013. It paired a 2.0-litre MIVEC petrol engine with a 12.0 kWh battery and two 60 kW electric motors, one on each axle. European sales began in 2013, and in 2020 it sold 26,673 units across Europe, the top-selling plug-in hybrid SUV there according to JATO Dynamics. The next generation brought a 20 kWh battery, with Japanese deliveries starting in December 2021.
