STORY

The Pajero Mini went on sale in Japan in December 1994 as the little brother of the Pajero, a kei-class 4x4 with a 660 cc four-cylinder engine. The Japanese press quotes 52 ps for the naturally aspirated version and 64 ps for the turbo, with no test cycle named. A larger sibling, the Pajero Junior with a 1.1 L engine, followed in 1995 and sat between the Mini and the full-size Pajero. The second generation debuted in 1998 and replaced the original 1994 car.
