The Pajero TR4 was the Brazilian-built version of the Pajero iO, which Europe knew as the Shogun Pinin. Mitsubishi's Brazilian importer began building it in 2002 at the Catalao plant in Goias. The 2.0 L engine became flex-fuel with the 2007 model line, and a later revision lifted compression from 9.5:1 to 11:1, raising output on ethanol from 133 cv to 140 cv. In December 2014 Mitsubishi announced that production at Catalao would end in 2015.
Pajero iO built in Brazil from 2002 to 2015, with a flex-fuel 2.0 MIVEC engine, assembled in Catalão.
