The Raider was Mitsubishi's pickup in the United States, and underneath it was a rebadged midsize Dodge Dakota. Ward's called it a twin of the Dakota. Mitsubishi sold 2,935 of them in the US in 2008, down from 7,595 in 2006 and 8,262 in 2007, a drop of about 64 percent on the year before, in a year when Toyota delivered more than 144,000 Tacomas. In early 2009, Ward's reported on 1 February, Mitsubishi decided to end the Raider.
The Mitsubishi Raider was a mid-size pickup truck sold in North America from 2006 to 2009. It was based on the Dodge Dakota, sharing that truck's platform and mechanicals with Mitsubishi-specific styling.
