Xpander 1.5 GLS

The Xpander 1.5 GLS is the standard-bodied version of the seven-seat MPV launched in 2017 for Southeast Asia. A 1.5-litre 4A91 MIVEC four-cylinder produces 105 PS and 141 Nm through a manual or automatic gearbox, with the lower ride height of the ordinary Xpander rather than the Cross.

STORY

The Xpander is a family MPV that Mitsubishi revealed in Jakarta in July 2017 and showed to the public at the Gaikindo show in August 2017. It is built in West Java. Its 1.5-litre petrol four makes 141 Nm of torque. In November 2019 the raised Xpander Cross followed with about 225 mm of ground clearance on the manual. A refreshed Xpander was revealed in November 2021 with a new front end and, in Indonesia, a CVT in place of the four-speed automatic.
