200SX (S14)

STORY

Nissan's 200SX name has belonged to more than one car. In Europe it went on the S13: the 180SX hatchback, introduced in Japan in 1989, with the 1.8-litre turbo CA18DET at about 169 PS. North America sold the same platform as the 240SX with a 2.4-litre engine. The S14 Silvia took over in Japan in 1993 and was exported as the 200SX or 240SX. The earlier S12 Silvia, last built in 1988, is covered here too; North America also sold it as the 200SX. Where the European S13 was a hatchback, the S14 was built only as a two-door coupe.
